In a recent interview with Football Insider, former Premier League goalkeeper Paul Robinson was full of praise for Aston Villa right-back Matty Cash following his growing influence at Villa Park this season. Robinson said, “Matty Cash has been outstanding. He was a player that Leeds looked at as well.

“Cash has done brilliantly since he has come in and it was yet another start for him at the weekend.

“I have been really impressed with him, he has done very well. Coming into a Villa team that has been playing well will have helped him.”

The Slough-born defender has made an impressive start to his life at Villa Park since arriving from Nottingham Forest last summer.
