Aston Villa have announced the arrival of experienced goalkeeper Robin Olsen on loan from Roma until the end of the campaign.

The 32-year-old spent the first half of the campaign on loan in the Championship with Sheffield United but hasn’t featured since November.

And he has now swapped Yorkshire for the Midlands by moving to Villa on a deal until the summer, arriving to provide competition for first choice ‘keeper Emi Martínez.
It is Olsen’s fourth spell away from parent club Roma since arriving following the 2018 World Cup, having previously represented Cagliari, Everton and the Blades.
