Roberto Carlos showed he's still got it during Sunday League match | OneFootball

Roberto Carlos enjoyed a very successful career as a professional footballer.

The Brazilian defender established himself as arguably the best left-back of all-time during an incredible career that saw him represent the likes of Inter Milan and Real Madrid.

He also featured 125 for his country, helping Selecao to a World Cup triumph in 2002.

Carlos retired in 2015 after a short stint with Indian outfit, Delhi Dynamos.

But he came out of retirement on Friday afternoon as he featured in a Sunday League game.

In January, a raffle was set up on Ebay, with the lucky winner getting either Eni Aluko or Carlos to play one match for their side.

Money raised from the raffle, which cost £5 to enter, has gone to Football Beyond Borders, a charity that helps disadvantaged young people in the community.

The lucky winners were Shrewsbury side Bull in the Barne United, named after a local pub.

Carlos has been training for the past few months and he was named on the bench as Bull in the Barne faced Harlescott Rangers.

And he proved he’s still got it at the age of 48 in a brief cameo.

Carlos is one of the best free-kick takers in football history and he proved he still had it in the warm-up.

The 48-year-old made it look easy as his set-piece from roughly 25 yards out found the net.

Carlos did get on the pitch but he wasn’t on too long as he made way just before the start of the second half.

Bull in the Barne United were given a penalty and Carlos came off the bench to take it.

Carlos stepped up, casually sent the goalkeeper the wrong way, before making way once again.

Bull in the Barne United went on to lose 4-3.
