Most of the FC Barcelona players were away from the Blaugrana club for the last few days as they had been called up by their respective national teams for their fixtures in the March international break.

Some of these players have already returned to the Catalan club, including Pablo Torre, Gerard Martin, and Fermin Lopez, while some others have also played their scheduled matches in this break and will return to train under Hansi Flick in the upcoming days.

One such player in the latter category is the striker, Robert Lewandowski, as Mundo Deportivo notes that the Pole was able to play the last 24 minutes of the game against Malta on Monday and completed the game without any physical problems.

The Barcelona forward was subbed in for this game in the 66th minute when his team was already leading by two goals, thanks to a brace from Karol Swiderski.

Lewandowski had a chance to add further to the scoreline as he took a free-kick from quite a favorable position in the 80th minute. However, he failed to score from this chance and the game ended 2-0 in Poland’s favor.

The fact that he was able to play in this game without any physical problems would be a boost for Barcelona, especially as both he and his coach had admitted that he had faced some problems in last Friday’s game against Lithuania.

Now, the Pole will return to his club today, on Tuesday, and thus, Flick will be able to have him available for the upcoming game against Osasuna. This game was rescheduled to be played on 27th March after previously having been postponed because of the death of Dr. Carles Minarro.

Luckily, this international break has not proven to be too costly for the Blaugranes. Barring Pau Cubarsi and Ferran Torres, all of their players have remained without any physical problems so far, and hopefully, this will remain the case for the rest of the internationals as well.
