Barcelona forward Robert Lewandowski again reiterated that he would be going nowhere this summer, amid reports that the Catalan side could try to move him on next season. Even if he was to receive an offer from Saudi Arabia, it might not be as much of a gap as could be expected.

It has been widely reported that Lewandowski agreed a three-year deal with an ascending salary, and an option for a fourth when he signed from Bayern Munich. That final season will be automatically extended if he plays 50% of the minutes he is available for next year.

Now Bar Canaletes have revealed the figures involved. During his first season, Lewandowski earned €20m gross (€10m net), which rose to €26m this year, and will increase again to €32m next season. The final year of his deal will cost Barcelona €26m.

If that is indeed the case, then it will make the total amount of his prospective deal a major €104m for Lewandowski’s final years at the top level, between the ages of 33 and 37. The Polish forward has claimed that he feels as if he could play at least two more years at the top level, but with no re-sale value, it takes the total cost in excess of €150m, including his transfer fee.
