Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski will undergo surgery to put an end to pain in his groin, kicker report.
However, he is not expected to miss any games for Bayern.
The Pole has been carrying the injury but his performances haven’t suffered, as he’s netted 14 times in 10 Bundesliga games so far this season.
A minor operation will, Lewandowski hopes, solve the issue.
With Bayern Munich playing Borussia Dortmund next weekend, Lewandowski is expected to play before having the procedure during the upcoming international break.
Poland have already qualified for Euro 2020.
According to kicker, Lewandowski will only be expected to miss around 10 days. If the operation is a success, he is unlikely to miss a single Bayern match.
The news comes the day after Bayern parted ways with head coach Niko Kovac.
