Barcelona’s start to the season has been phenomenal with seven wins in as many games in La Liga and it is safe to say that Hansi Flick’s men are signing under his tutelage.

The team’s success, needless to say, also underlies several individual stars who have been phenomenal in the new system, one of whom is Robert Lewandowski.

The Polish striker has scored seven goals in as many games this season and is in the lead in the Pichichi race early in the season. Only Ayoze Perez on 6 goals and Raphinha and Kylian Mbappe on five goals can claim to be close.

Lewandowski praises his teammate

Speaking to the media in a recent interview, the Barcelona marksman showered huge praise on the team’s young phenom Lamine Yamal and did not hold back in calling him the best in the business.

“Lamine Yamal is the best winger in the world,” he began by saying.

Elaborating on the youngster’s potential, talent and where he can reach over the years, the Polish striker spoke on the importance of longevity and the remarkable number of years Yamal still has ahead of him

“A football career is so long, sometimes it’s not important how you start.

What’s more important is how you finish or how will be the next years. And in the next 15 years, he will be 32,” he said when asked if Yamal can become the best in the world.

With three goals and five assists to his name already in La Liga, the 17-year-old has been one of the league’s most impressive players by far and is nominated as the player of the month for September.

Having opened his account in the UEFA Champions League as well, Yamal looks poised for great heights this term.
