Robert Lewandowski is having a superb first season at Barcelona.
The Polish striker left Bayern Munich for pastures new last summer and joined Barca in a €50 million move.
Lewandowski has proven to be money well spent as he’s notched 18 goals in 20 games for the Catalan giants.
Lewandowski is now 34 years old but he’s still in incredible shape.
And he has shown how much of a beast he is in a strength challenge in Barcelona training.
A new documentary titled:at the end of December 2022.
The documentary features a behind-the-scenes look at ongoings at Barcelona, starting when Xavi was announced as their new manager in November 2021.
One of the episodes features a push-up challenge between Lewandowski, Ansu Fati and Ronald Araujo.
The trio wanted to see who could do the most push-ups in a friendly competition. They set a target of 50 push-ups.
Lewandowski is much older than Fati and Araujo, who are 20 years old and 23 years old respectively.
But that didn’t stop Lewandowski putting his younger teammates to shame.
Fati went first and managed 40 before collapsing in a heap.
Araujo was up next and fared a little better than Fati, but failed to make the 50-mark as he stopped at 42.
It was then Lewandowski’s turn. The 34-year-old decided to do knuckle push-ups, which was different to the standard push-ups his two teammates did.
And Lewandowski proceeded to reach the 50 push-up target that they set as he he comfortably beat his two teammates. Watch a video of the moment below…
Lewandowski will not feature in Barcelona’s Copa del Rey match against Intercity FC on Wednesday evening.
Xavi has confirmed his star striker is being rested and hopes to have him back for Barca’s La Liga clash against Atletico.
“Yes, I am confident that he can play against Atletico Madrid. For that reason and because he has a lot of baggage. He has played a lot of minutes and we thought this could be a good game for him to rest. Then come very important games.
“We want him to be there and we believe he will be there. Rest for him and for Pedri.”
