There are only three certainties in life: death, taxes and Robert Lewandowski scoring in Der Klassiker.
The first half of Tuesday night’s DFL Supercup clash was a cracker at the Westfalenstadion, with Erling Haaland and Youssoufa Moukoko both forcing brilliant saves from Bayern goalkeeper Manuel Neuer.
But just before half-time, Lewandowski guided home a super header to break the deadlock and double his tally for the season.
Meaning the Pole has now extended his incredible scoring record against his former club since he swapped Dortmund for Bayern back in 2014.
And what a run he’s on, too.
Not content with just one goal (let’s face it, he rarely is) the Polish hitman capitalised on a mistake in the Dortmund defence to add a second in the second half, too.
You can set your watch by him.
