Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund found out their Champions League fate on Friday morning.

Arsenal will host Bayern Munich at the Emirates while Borussia Dortmund also play their first-leg away from home after being drawn against Diego Simeone’s Atlético Madrid.

Atlético Madrid or Borussia Dortmund will then face Paris Saint-Germain or Barcelona with Bayern Munich facing a far more difficult road to Wembley. Should Thomas Tuchel’s Bayern beat Arsenal, they will then face one of Real Madrid or Manchester City.

It’s the first time in three years that two German sides have made it to the last eight of the Champions League. But it wasn’t easy.

Borussia Dortmund were held by PSV in the first-leg before beating the Dutch side 2-0 at the Westfalenstadion on Tuesday, while Bayern had to overturn a 1-0 deficit to beat Lazio.
