MIAMI – The 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup will see the United States of America make its 18th appearance in the tournament.
USA will feature in Group D with Haiti, Trinidad and Tobago, and Saudi Arabia. The seven-time winners will seek an eight crown and first with Argentinian manager Mauricio Pochettino.
The Stars and Stripes qualified for the tournament by defeating Jamaica, 5-2 on aggregate, in the 2024/25 Concacaf Nations League Quarterfinals. The result also sent USA to the 2025 CNL Finals.
Ricardo Pepi scored the lone goal to give the U.S. a 1-nil victory in the first leg in Kingston. Christian Pulisic, Pepi and Timothy Weah struck in the second leg to give close the series with a 4-2 win in St. Louis.
After three consecutive Concacaf Nations League trophies, the U.S. reign was finally ended in the CNL Finals by Panama. The U.S. fell to Canada in the third-place match to finish fourth for the first time in the CNL.
The United States men’s national team will seek to reclaim a regional trophy by winning the Gold Cup. The U.S. holds the record for most finals played (12) in the history of the tournament.
Mauricio Pochettino will seek his first trophy as a national team manager. The U.S. coach previously led European clubs Tottenham Hotspur, Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea FC to silverware.
