Real Madrid have received a significant advantage ahead of their UEFA Champions League match against Borussia Dortmund due to the news that Karim Adeyemi will not be participating because of an injury.
The young forward from Dortmund picked up this injury during a recent match against Celtic, which is expected to sideline him for approximately a month.
This was officially confirmed by Dortmund’s coach, Nuri Sahin, during a press conference. He stated (SPORT), “Adeyemi will be out for a while. We hope he returns in November, after the international break.”
While Borussia Dortmund have yet to disclose the specific details of Adeyemi’s injury, reports from several German outlets suggest that he is dealing with a torn muscle fibre in his right thigh.
As a result of this injury, he will be unable to participate in the upcoming German U-21 qualifiers for the European Championship.

Additionally, the German club will face crucial Bundesliga matches against Union Berlin, St. Pauli, and Augsburg without him, further impacting their squad depth.
Losing Adeyemi is a considerable setback for Borussia Dortmund, especially with their important match against Real Madrid scheduled for October 22 at Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.
The absence of one of their key players is sure to be felt, particularly given his recent form. In the previous match against Celtic, Adeyemi showcased his incredible talent by scoring a hat-trick in the first half, significantly contributing to Dortmund’s impressive 7-2 victory.
However, his remarkable performance was cut short when he had to leave the pitch in the 38th minute due to his injury.
Despite the premature exit, Adeyemi’s standout display earned him the title of Most Valuable Player (MVP) for the match, as well as the Player of the Week award in the Champions League.
