Juventus are hoping to sell Wojciech Szczesny this summer and a Saudi Arabian club has reportedly emerged with a lucrative offer.
The 34-year-old Polish goalkeeper has just a year left on his contract with the Old Lady, who aren’t willing to offer a new deal to the veteran. He isn’t willing to spread out his €6.5m net salary but would prefer to stay in Turin, happy with his family in the city.
Juventus have already set up a deal with Monza for Michele Di Gregorio and are hoping to shift Szczesny in the coming months, keen to make savings on his hefty salary. For now though, the Pole has resisted the idea of departing, wanting to prove himself once again.
Page five of today’s Tuttosport details how an unnamed Saudi Arabian club has emerged with a lucrative contract offer for Szczesny, willing to pay the veteran shot stopper €30m total over two seasons.
In the past, the 34-year-old hasn’t expressed interest in switching Europe for the riches of Saudi Arabia, but things could change as Juventus push to see his departure this summer.
