IMPRESSIVE! Just 2 weeks after taking over as Chivas’ coach, Ricardo Cadena set a record in Club Deportivo Guadalajara’s history.

Ending the Clausura 2022’s regular season with 4 wins in a row put Chivas in a great position towards the playoffs and also made Cadena set a record as a relief coach. Before him, 3 coaches achieved 3 back to back victories whenever they took that job.

Those 3 other coaches were Jose Manuel ‘Chepo’ de la Torre (Clausura 2006), Efrain Flores (Clausura 2007) and Matias Almeyda (Apertura 2015).

It is worth pointing out that Ricardo Cadena's record as Chivas' relief coach could increase with a vital match in the national championship, as El Chiverío's next game will be the WildCard clash at the Akron Stadium.

If a new win is achieved, Cadena would be the first coach (not just a relief one, but in general) to have more than 4 victories in a row since Jose Luis Real did it in the Bicentenario 2010 season, which was in fact historic with 8 back to back wins.
