Ria Montgomery joins Leeds United Women | OneFootball

Leeds United Women are pleased to announce the signing of Ria Montgomery, who joins the club from Huddersfield Town Women.

Coming through the ranks at Blackburn Rovers, Montgomery made the switch to Huddersfield in 2021 after spending six years with the Lancashire outfit, and has since gone on to make nearly 100 appearances for the Terriers.

Bringing extensive experience from playing in the third tier, the 25-year-old joins Simon Wood’s side having featured 17 times this campaign for Town, starting in nine of those matches.

An attack-minded full-back with an eye for goal, Montgomery scored 10 times across all competitions during the 2021/22 season whilst with the fellow West Yorkshire side.

With the move completed in time, Montgomery is eligible to be involved in this weekend’s FA WNL Division One North clash away at Middlesbrough.
