LDH are reporting that RFC Liege have set a price tag of at least €1m for the sides top scorer Adriano Bertaccini. The Italian Belgian forward is not just the clubs top scorer however, he is also the top scorer for the entire Challenger Pro League. In 13 games this season the striker has already scored 11 goals. His performances so far have attracted a number of clubs to begin scouting the striker ahead of the January transfer window. The striker grabbed two goals at the weekend to help RFC Liege overcome city rivals RFC Seraing.
RFC Liege, who were once a regular top flight club in Belgium, are currently enjoying a successful return to the countries second tier. After 14 games they sit comfortably in sixth place, which would be enough to compete in the play-offs at the end of the season. The winner of the play-offs, which is for the sides who finish between third and sixth, will then face off against the side who finish third bottom in the Pro League.
Bertaccini, a former Genk player and Belgian youth international, is currently playing in the highest level he has managed in his short career. Last season, the now 23-year-old was in fine form for Thes Sport in the Belgian third tier as he racked up an impressive 27 goals in 36 games.
