Inter Milan have pulled out of a move for Venezia midfielder Tanner Tessmann over demands by the player’s representatives.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews. The newspaper report that the demands ranged from wages and agent commissions to a say in future loan destinations.

Inter have been in talks to sign Tessmann from Venezia for over a month now.

The 22-year-old emerged as a surprise name in the Nerazzurri’s summer transfer shortlist.

And as far as an agreement with Venezia goes, Inter seem to have everything in hand. They have been discussing a transfer of Tessmann for several weeks now.

Venezia’s Sporting Director even confirmed that the newly-promoted club have “closed the deal” for Tessmann.

So negotiations with Venezia have not been a problem for Inter.

But what has proven to be an issue has been the negotiations on the player’s side.

Why Inter Milan Move For Tanner Tessmann Fell Through

According to Tuttosport, Inter were not able to reach an agreement with Tessmann’s representatives.

First of all was the question of money.

Tuttosport report that Tessmann’s wage demands have been higher than Inter considered appropriate.

Moreover, there is the matter of agent commissions. The 22-year-old’s representatives have reportedly asked for more than Inter are willing to offer.

In this respect there are some echoes of the implosion of the Nerazzurri’s move to sign Lazar Samardzic last summer – which had been the result of confusion and last minute demands from the Udinese midfielder’s entourage.

And beyond the issue of money, Tuttosport report, there has also been some friction regarding the plan for Tessmann.

It has always been clear that Inter’s idea is to send Tessmann out on loan next summer.

There had initially been reports that the Nerazzurri could even loan the 22-year-old straight back to Venezia.

But according to Tuttosport, Tessmann had proven overly choosy about where he’d be playing next season.

For this reason, the newspaper report, Inter have reportedly informed the American’s representatives that they will not be signing him this summer.
