Como midfielder Nico Paz prefers a move to Inter Milan over Real Madrid because he expects to receive more playing time there.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews.

It is no secret that Como midfielder Nico Paz is a major target for Inter Milan.

And the Nerazzurri are already laying the groundwork for a move for the Argentine.

Inter President Beppe Marotta was coy on the links in remarks yesterday.

But there is already a charm offensive going on. Inter Vice-President Javier Zanetti is a personal friend of Paz’s father – that is hardly a small factor.

And Inter are hoping that they can use the personal element to convince Paz.

Nico Paz is currently a Como player, while Real Madrid have a buyback clause.

Those are the two big obstacles that Inter face in trying to sign the 20-year-old.

Como would have the financial power to resist big offers for Paz. Meanwhile, Real can buy the young midfielder back as early as this summer, and make a decision about his future.

But according to Tuttosport, Paz leans towards a move to Inter.

On the one hand, Paz is ready for a move to a bigger club.

The Argentine has established himself as a top level Serie A player with his performances for Como this season.

Therefore, Paz is ready to take the next step.

That could mean either Real Madrid or Inter. But according to Tuttosport, Paz is leaning towards the latter.

That is because Inter coach Simone Inzaghi would be ready to give Paz a prominent place in the starting eleven.

On the other hand, breaking into the Real Madrid team could be a tougher ask.

The example of Arda Guler could serve as a warning for Paz. The young Turkish attacking midfielder has gotten just seven starts after moving to the Bernabeu from Fenerbahce last summer.
