Andrej Kramaric was closely associated with Bayern Munich last summer. Now the 29-year-old striker himself has commented on the rumors and explained why he has not signed for the German record champion.
In search for a backup for Robert Lewandowski, the Bavarians also had TSG striker Andrej Kramaric on the radar. According to media reports, there was already contact between Hasan Salihamidzic and Kramaric. In the end, however, there was no transfer and Bayern decided to engage Eric Maxim-Choupo Moting.
According to rumors, the transfer failed due to the excessive transfer feee demands from Hoffenheim. But even Kramaric himself was not 100 percent convinced.
In an interview with the “kicker”, Kramaric said: “Of course it makes me happy when I hear that one of the biggest clubs in the world wants me. But I must also say that I like it very much in Hoffenheim and I know what I have in at TSG. I am happy here. For me the TSG is one of the top clubs in the league. A player has everything he needs”.
The Croatian national player was also not willing to give up his starting spot in Hoffenheim for a reservist role in Munich. However, the striker did not want to rule out a future move to a top European club: “If I get the chance to achieve even more, I will take it”.
