There is little risk for Javier Zanetti, but Simone Inzaghi could receive a fine, and Hakan Calhanoglu a suspension as part of an investigation into Inter Milan ultras group the Curva Nord.
This according to Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via TuttoMercatoWeb.
The Italian FA investigation of Inter ultras the Curva Nord and AC Milan’s Curva Sud is now well underway.
This is distinct from the criminal investigation. Prosecutors are investigating the alleged criminal activities by members of the Nord and the Sud.
But the Italian FA is specifically investigating links between important figures at Inter and Milan and members of the clubs’ ultras groups.
According to Tuttosport, there is little risk of sanction for Inter Vice-President Javier Zanetti.
The Nerazzurri Vice-President has been questioned regarding his interactions with the ultras.
However, these are not likely to lead to a punishment for the Vice-President.
On the other hand, Inter coach Simone Inzaghi could receive a fine.
This would be in regards to conversations that the coach had with Nord members regarding Champions League final tickets in 2023.
And then for Nerazzurri midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu there would be the risk of a suspension. Potentially as long as a three-match ban.
That would be for the Turkish international’s interaction with arrested ultras leader Marco Ferdico.
