REVEALED: Mourinho didn't want Bale at Spurs

Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho didn't want Gareth Bale signed this summer, it has been claimed.

The Wales international has struggle for form since returning from Real Madrid back in the summer transfer window. And he's under pressure to kick on ahead of his side's Premier League showdown with West Brom.

The Irish Independent claim that, during the summer transfer window, Mourinho didn't want Bale.

Instead, he asked Levy for the signing of a centre-back. And though Joe Rodon arrived from Championship side Swansea, that private chat speaks volumes.

Bale has scored just one goal from six Premier League appearances so far and, what's more, doesn't seem fussed about his current malaise.
