Tottenham Hotspur’s rising star Mikey Moore has been out of action since early November due to an unspecified virus, and fans are eager to know when the 17-year-old will return.

Despite his young age, Moore has already made a significant impression on the senior squad, featuring in 10 matches, eight of which came this season.
Moore’s skill on the ball and fearless dribbling have drawn lofty comparisons, with some fans likening him to a young Lionel Messi.
While those comparisons might be premature, they reflect the immense potential seen in the teenager.
Unfortunately for Spurs, his absence has coincided with a challenging period for the club, as injuries and suspensions have further depleted their options.
The latest updates suggest Moore’s return is still weeks away, leaving Tottenham to navigate the busy festive schedule without one of their most exciting prospects.
As quoted by The Spurs Web, journalist Dan Kilpatrick, speaking on The Tottenham Way podcast, shed light on Moore’s situation, revealing that the virus has significantly drained the player’s energy.
"(...) Mikey Moore is recovering from an energy-sapping virus, so he will be out until the new year,” Kilpatrick stated. This means Spurs will have to wait until 2024 to see the teenager back on the pitch.
Moore’s absence has been felt keenly during a turbulent period for the club. With Heung-min Son recently returning from injury and Timo Werner struggling to find consistency in front of goal, Tottenham’s attacking depth has been tested.
The team has lacked a spark in recent weeks, something Moore could have provided with his creative flair and fearlessness.
Adding to the pressure, Spurs are currently relying on players like Yang-Min-Hyeok to step up in Moore’s absence.
While Yang has shown promise, there is no denying that the team will benefit greatly from having Moore back in the fold.
Tottenham’s current struggles underscore the importance of nurturing young talent like Mikey Moore. His absence serves as a reminder of how vital these players can be, even in their teenage years.
Spurs aim to climb back up the Premier League table, and the return of Moore will provide not only a morale boost but also a tactical advantage.
Until then, the club must make do with its available options while fans wait for the young prodigy to return and light up the pitch again.
