Manchester City have not had a club shop in the centre of Manchester since their home below the Arndale food court on Market Street, with their new location taking them within the Arndale shopping centre itself.

Located in between Waterstone’s and Victoria’s Secret on level two of the Arndale shopping centre, Manchester City’s new establishment has been teased with a super-sized ‘Coming Soon’ banner – in line with the rest of their branding for the ongoing 2022/23 campaign.

City’s club store has taken over the site once owned by Victoria’s Secret Pink – opposite the likes of AllSaints and the Apple Store in Manchester city centre’s predominant shopping centre.

It remains unknown as to when the new club shop will open, while details surrounding their tenancy within the Manchester Arndale are also unknown at this stage.

Manchester City’s latest venture comes after significant uplifts in kit sales were noticed for replica jerseys during the 2022/23 campaign.

It was reported back in October that the Premier League champions recorded a 101% uplift in 22/23 kit sales when compared to last season’s figures, selling as many shirts on official club channels in two months this season as they did across the whole of last term.

Coincidentally, merchandise sales also reportedly saw a 219% increase in Norway compared to the previous year. In Scandinavia alone, Manchester City saw a 77% increase from the previous year, with 51% being Erling Haaland shirts.
