Manchester City and PUMA have officially released their brand new 2023/24 home shirt, inspired by the architecture and history of the Etihad Stadium.

Dominated by the traditional sky blue, but featuring white detailing and navy features, the latest edition of the Manchester City home shirt is widely expected to go down as a major hit among supporters.

The shirt features a v-neck collar, with a reference to the Etihad Stadium within the shirt as the postcode – M11 3FF – of Manchester City’s home is printed inside every edition on offer to supporters around the globe.

Manchester City and PUMA have stated upon the release of the new shirt, “Global sports company PUMA has today launched the 2023/24 Manchester City Home kit, celebrating the 20th anniversary of the club’s historic move to the Etihad Stadium.

“The kit pays homage to the iconic features of the stadium and is inspired by the jersey worn during the first season at the new ground. In August 2003, after 80 years at Maine Road, Manchester City made the momentous move three and half miles away to their new residence at the Etihad Stadium.

“This move marked the start of a new era for the club, defined by new records, new legends, and moments of greatness. The 2023/24 Home kit is a testament to this legacy, celebrating the Etihad Stadium and all those who call it home.

“The front graphic of the new Home jersey is inspired by the unique architecture of the Etihad Stadium, in particular the four giant turrets visible from the outside of the stadium that form tonal stripes on the jersey.

“The postcode of the stadium is displayed on the back of the neck to celebrate 20 years at City’s new home and the jersey features a white V-neck collar that is inspired by the first kit used in the new stadium, the 2003/04 Home jersey.”

Among those to model the new kit, Erling Haaland, Jack Grealish, and Riyad Mahrez all star in the photoshoot, as Manchester City supporters take a first look at their superstars on the pitch donning the new look.
