Jesse Lingard is reportedly set to seal a £21.5million permanent transfer to West Ham this summer.

The England international has been in superb form since joining the Hammers on loan from Manchester United in January, and there’s been plenty of talk about what this might mean for his future.

Man Utd might well feel they’d like to keep Lingard, and a recent report stated they were prepared to discuss a new deal for the player.

However, it seems Lingard, who has also been linked as a target for Arsenal in recent times, has decided he wants a permanent move to West Ham instead.

This seems the best move for the 28-year-old, who really looks to be enjoying his football once again with the move to east London.

Lingard had fallen out of favour at United but is now the focal point of David Moyes’ impressive team, and it surely makes sense for him to continue there.

West Ham fans will surely be delighted that a bargain £21.5m deal now seems to be edging closer to completion.
