Randal Kolo Muani’s future at Paris Saint-Germain was up in the air as the January transfer window began, sparking rumors of a potential move.

The 26-year-old forward has had a tough time making a significant impact in his first two seasons at PSG, leading to speculation about his departure this month.

This season, Kolo Muani has only played 453 minutes across all competitions and hasn’t secured a regular starting spot. His absence from PSG’s squad in the last three matches of 2024 has only added to the uncertainty surrounding his future.

Journalist Ben Jacobs reported that Kolo Muani has expressed his desire to join Juventus. A loan deal is expected to be completed this week, with Spurs being informed after the player made his decision.

TBR Football reported on Monday that Kolo Muani is likely to move to Juventus on loan with an option to buy for around £50 million. Sources suggest Juventus sees themselves as the leading contender after discussions with the forward’s representatives over the weekend.

TBR Football’s chief correspondent, Graeme Bailey, reported on Wednesday that Tottenham Hotspur are ‘gutted’ after missing out on Kolo Muani, according to sources.

Spurs had been in talks with the 26-year-old striker for much of this month, with chairman Daniel Levy and technical director Johan Lange personally leading the negotiations.

Tottenham thought they were close to a deal last week, but Juventus made a late push for Muani, and he ultimately decided a move to Turin was the best choice for him.

Additionally, the report mentions that France manager Didier Deschamps was consulted for advice on which club Muani should join. The two have a close relationship, with Deschamps handing Muani 27 international caps and making him the team’s main striker.
