Pedri might not be enjoying the best of seasons due to a series of injury issues, but off the field, the youngster continues to make huge waves.

The teenager, who was named the Best Young Player of the Tournament at the UEFA Euro 2020 earlier this year, was more recently honoured with the Golden Boy Award for 2021.

And, it seems like Pedri’s individual trophy haul will increase again this coming Monday, as a leaked schedule for BarcaTV+ seems to confirm that the midfielder, who turned 19 earlier this week, is in line to win the Kopa Trophy 2021.

The award is presented by France Football to the best-performing footballer aged under 21, as voted by former Ballon d’Or winners.

Named after former French footballer Raymond Kopa, the trophy has previously been lifted by Kylian Mbappe (2018) and Matthijs de Ligt (2019). Nobody was awarded the honour last year after the Ballon d’Or ceremony was called off due to the pandemic.

Pedri has been nominated for the 2021 edition of the trophy, along with several other top young talents from across Europe such as Mason Greenwood, Bukayo Saka, Ryan Gravenberch, Jeremy Doku, Jude Bellingham, Giovanni Reyna, Florian Wirtz and Jamal Musiala.

As per the leaked schedule for BarcaTV+, soon after the Ballon d’Or ceremony, programmes depicting the rise of Pedri and Barcelona Femeni star Alexia Putellas are set to be aired, which is a strong indicator that the pair will be winning the Kopa Trophy and the Ballon d’Or Féminin, respectively.

If true, it will be another huge feather in the cap for the teenage sensation who is making giant strides in such early stages of his career. With the Golden Boy and potentially the Kopa Trophy awards in the bag, Pedri could also stand to win the IFFHS Best Playmaker Award for 2021. All in all, it is proving to be quite the memorable year for the 19-year-old.
