AC Milan have put a price tag on the head of an Arsenal and Liverpool target that is so high it ‘resembles a declaration of non-transferability’.
The Rossoneri are in the thick of dealing with the summer transfer window as they look to close the door on a disappointing campaign which saw them finish just eighth in Serie A and miss out on Europe.
They are being tested for players and have already lost midfielder Tijjani Reijnders to a big spending Manchester City side.
Now thoughts are turning to striker Rafael Leao, who has already been the subject of talks with Bayern Munich.
Arsenal and Liverpool are also considering Leao as an option as they each look to add an attacker to their squads.
However, in talks with Bayern Munich, AC Milan insisted they were looking for at least €100m just to come to the table.
According to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, that amounts to a ‘declaration of non-transferability’ for Leao.
The Rossoneri are not keen on losing him and are under no pressure to cash in.
They see Leao as someone to build the team around and he has another three years left on his contract at the San Siro.
Arsenal and Liverpool have the financial capability to make AC Milan a sky-high offer for Leao, but in setting the price, the Italians have signalled they are not keen to sell.
They also did not want Bayern Munich to include any players in a deal for the attacker.
AC Milan have been linked with Liverpool winger Federico Chiesa and it remains to be seen if they would also shut the door on the Reds including him in a deal for Leao.
