Zlatan Ibrahimovic is not happy with the way that the AC Milan squad appear to have coasted to the end of the current season, according to a report.

It was back in December 2023 when Ibrahimovic returned to Milan as Senior Advisor to RedBird Capital and Milan, a role that was so ambiguous in title that it also left insiders wondering what exactly he would be doing.

As time passed, we saw Zlatan begin to frequent Milanello, remaining close to the team at home and following them away. It is clear that he has some kind of relationship with the players, as confirmed by a background story from La Repubblica (via Radio Rossonera) this morning.

The paper speaks about Milan’s bizarre end to the season given the rut in form (one win in eight games), the farewell of Stefano Pioli, the potential arrival of Paulo Fonseca after the Julen Lopetegui protests and the work that needs to be done in the summer mercato.

However, Ibrahimovic ‘thundered with the players’ meaning that he was angry with what he saw from them. The reason? The Swede thought that they appeared ‘too worn out’, and thus they did not give their best when there was a job to be done professionally on the field.
