Repubblica: Maldini and Massara remain the future of Milan – they will soon extend | OneFootball

Amid the speculation that AC Milan will soon be bought by either Investcorp or RedBird, there have also been stories about the future of the current management.

La Repubblica (via MilanNews) writes how the fact Milan are competing for the Scudetto is of course down to the hard work of Stefano Pioli, his staff and the entire squad, but also thanks to technical director Paolo Maldini and sporting director Frederic Massara.

In recent weeks, there has been a lot of talk about the sale of the club and the transfer market, but given the duo are currently on contracts set to expire on June 30th, some movement is needed on that front too.

The paper adds that Maldini has in fact reached an agreement with CEO Ivan Gazids and the Elliott fund – with Gordon Singer having attended the match against Atalanta at San Siro – for the renewal of his contract.

His right-hand man Massara will also remain at Milan as both will undoubtedly get a more than deserved extension for their work in helping bring Milan back to competing for titles.
