Repubblica: Kessie’s Barcelona move not under threat despite rumours of complications | OneFootball

Franck Kessie should still be able to complete his move to Barcelona ahead of next season despite rumours of complications, according to a report.

Sport (via Radio Rossonera) reported yesterday that Barca are not currently in a position to finalise the arrival of Kessie because of the club’s precarious financial situation, which prevents them from registering new signings unless they are under the salary cap. The report added that if they want to register him they will have to find a way to remedy this situation.

According to what is being reported by La Repubblica (via MilanNews) the speculation of a possible rethinking on the part of Barcelona regarding the arrival of Kessie is false.

While it is true that the Catalan club must align itself with the Financial Fair Play regulations in the league, it does not put the arrival of the Ivorian in doubt so he should get his move as planned.
