Reports in Spain are suggesting that Real Madrid will not extend the contract of one of their wingers, and AC Milan could pounce.

Lucas Vazquez is currently on a contract with Los Blancos which expires in June 2021 with Real Madrid – after several months of negotiations – have decided to let the player leave according to Spanish outlet TF.

The report claims that Vazquez is highly regarded by coach Zinedine Zidane, but Real Madrid will evaluate all offers between now and the end of January.

Meanwhile, PianetaMilan are reporting that Milan and in particular Paolo Maldini are weighing up a bid to try and sign him. Vazquez is an experienced player, who could be very useful if Milan get to the Champions League.

It could well be linked to the possible sale of Samu Castillejo, who could return to Spain to play continuously, and therefore a signing in that area of the pitch would be necessary. Vazquez – now 29 – can also play right-back which could make him a useful alternative to Davide Calabria, given Diogo Dalot’s stay next season is far from certain.
