Three high-profile European clubs outside of Serie A are reportedly interested in signing 18-year-old Juventus defender and current Roma loanee Dean Huijsen in the summer transfer window, namely Manchester United, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig.

According to recent reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus will consider selling a number of youngsters and players currently out on loan in order to boost their budget for the summer window.

Juve will have at least €60m to spend in the summer according to recent reports, but that figure could rise closer to €100m through the sales of players such as Huijsen, Matias Soule, Kaio Jorge, Samuel Iling-Junior and potentially even Moise Kean.

The most likely movers at the moment are Soule, who has reported interest from Premier League sides Newcastle, Crystal Palace and Championship promotion candidates Southampton. Huijsen is the other who could be sold on for a significant profit.

Juve sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli will only listen to offers in the region of €25m-€30m for Huijsen according to La Gazzetta’s report, which isn’t inconceivable for a team like Manchester United, who will not be short on funds to spend this summer.

If the Old Lady were to sell their teenage centre-back, it would bring a significant capital gain, as Huijsen had originally joined the club from Malaga’s youth academy in a deal believed to be worth around €470,000 in 2021.

To date, Huijsen has 195 minutes of senior league action under his belt from six Serie A appearances. He had joined Roma on loan in the final weeks of Jose Mourinho’s tenure, but has already fallen down the pecking order under Daniele De Rossi, who has shifted from a back-three to a back-four system since his arrival.
