Borussia Dortmund forward Erling Haaland has opened up on his current situation.

The 21-year-old said that he is enjoying playing for Borussia Dortmund. Haaland’s current contract expires in June 2024.

However, Haaland added that he does want to win silverware. Liverpool have been linked with a move for Haaland in recent months.

As cited by journalist Fabrizio Romano, Haaland told publication Sport Bild the following: “First of all I have three years left on my contract. I’m enjoying my time here. But of course the trophy was important because that’s what I want.”

We would obviously love to see Liverpool sign Haaland in the near future.

The forward is a top player after all. Haaland has found the back of the net 57 times and registered 15 assists in 59 appearances for Borussia Dortmund.

Haaland is valued at €130 million by Transfermarkt. With that being the case, Liverpool can’t afford to purchase Haaland at the moment.

Liverpool have a limited transfer budget this summer, according to ESPN.

However, if Haaland remains at Borussia Dortmund this season, he will apparently be available for £64 million next summer (release clause).

If Haaland is available for the aforementioned fee next summer, we would love to see Liverpool sign the forward.

Liverpool would be signing a world-class player for a reduced fee.
