Lille are prepared to sell midfielder Renato Sanches this summer, according to Le10 Sport, as cited by Anfield Buzz’s Twitter account.

The report states that Lille would like to sell Sanches in order to raise funds. Liverpool have been linked with a summer move for the 23-year-old.

Sanches’ current deal expires in June 2023. The midfielder possesses a current market value of €30 million.

ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT

The Reds are yet to replace midfielder Gini Wijnaldum. The Dutchman departed Liverpool and signed for Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer earlier this summer.

If Lille are prepared to sell Sanches, Liverpool should be acting.

Sanches is a talented player. The midfielder averaged a WhoScored player rating of 6.78 across the 2020-21 Ligue 1 campaign.

Sanches is only 23 years of age. With that being the case, he could play in Liverpool’s midfield for a number of years.

Sanches has also played in the Premier League before. The Portuguese international represented Swansea City during the 2017-18 campaign.

Therefore, the Premier League is not foreign to Sanches. With that being the case, the midfielder would have an idea of what to expect if he did sign for Liverpool.
