Paris Saint-Germain is just beginning to gradually receive positive news regarding its current injury crisis. Some players have already returned to training after being sidelined with their respective injuries, which is reassuring news for the club. But for midfielder Marco Verratti, RMC Sport reports that he has not yet been given the green light to return to training with PSG.
Verratti is currently sidelined with an injury to his right quadriceps major femoris. The Italian midfielder missed PSG’s recent away league contest against Nimes Olympique due to the injury and has not trained with the club since returning from the October international break. The report alludes that Tuchel’s scheduled training session on Monday will be crucial for Verratti. If he misses the training session, it is unlikely that the talent will go on to feature in PSG’s UEFA Champions League group stage contest on Tuesday against Manchester United.
The RMC Sport report does mention that Marquinhos recently returned to training following his significant right adductor injury. If he can train on Monday, the Brazilian should be slated fit and ready to go for PSG’s upcoming pivotal Champions League fixture.
