Chelsea defender Renato Veiga is attracting interest from rivals Tottenham Hotspur according to reports.
Veiga completed a surprise €14m move to Stamford Bridge last summer from Swiss side FC Basel and is now a full Portugal international.
The Portuguese was signed to predominantly be a back-up at left back for Marc Cucurella, but the Blues are said to have liked his versatility as he can also play at centre back and in midfield.
Veiga made 18 appearances for Chelsea over the first half of the season, but surprisingly left the club in January to join Italian giants Juventus on loan.
The main reason the 21-year-old wanted to leave is believed to be because he wanted more regular minutes in his preferred centre back position.
Veiga has impressed at Juventus where he’s made eight appearances, including two in the Champions League and it looks like he has a bright future in the game.

However, TBR Football have reported both Tottenham and Brighton are closely monitoring the situation surrounding Veiga.
The report adds Chelsea are understood to be impressed with Veiga’s progress and he’s expected back this summer.
Veiga’s future at Chelsea remains unclear given he clearly wants to play at centre back, a position where the Blues have a number of options.
The former Basel man has been used as a centre back by Roberto Martinez and it’s clear he wants to play there in order to give him the best chance of making the 2026 World Cup.

Juventus could look to sign Veiga permanently, and Chelsea would almost certainly make a profit on a player they signed less than 12 months ago.
Veiga would be a really useful player to have in the squad given he can deputise in a number of positions, and there’s clearly a lot of potential there, whilst it’s believed he sees his long term future at Stamford Bridge.
