Report: The One Major Factor Why PSG Has Not Yet Officially Sacked Pochettino
PSG Talk
It has been over a month since the 2021-2022 Ligue 1 season came to an end, and Mauricio Pochettino is still officially the manager of Paris Saint-Germain. This all comes as PSG has already reportedly come to terms with now-former OGC Nice manager Christophe Galtier on a deal that will see him replace the Argentine coach.
According to L’Equipe, PSG and Pochettino remain in talks over a severance package agreement. The one major holdout in such discussions centers on the payment of certain bonuses.
The Argentine manager has remained stern in his ambition to take home all €15 million owed in order to officially leave his role as manager of PSG. More so, Pochettino’s coaching staff is set to also garner a buyout fee as well, including assistant coach Miguel D’Agostino, who also tagged along with him at Tottenham.
Overall, Galtier is expected to soon be officially named as the new manager of PSG ahead of the team’s preseason schedule next month.
