Riccardo Calafiori is reportedly nearing an exit from Roma in favor of Swiss side Basel who seem to have reached an agreement with the capital club for the 20-year-old’s transfer only two days away from the deadline.
The latest report by La Repubblica journalist Andrea Di Carlo claims that Calafiori will join Basel on a permanent deal for €1.5 million including add-ons as well as a sell-on clause for his future sale.
According to Sky Sport, Roma will retain a 40% sell-on clause for his future sale.
The two clubs are reportedly exchanging documents right now with Calafiori ready to travel to Switzerland in the next few hours.
The Italian fullback is scheduled to complete his medical with Basel tomorrow morning, followed by the signature on his new contract with the Swiss side which will be valid for a total of three years including an option to extend for an additional year.
