Earlier in the month, it was reported that Pablo Torre’s move to Mallorca was imminent.
The contract necessities and the paperwork are already complete, but neither party have yet announced the deal.
Torre is expected to join Mallorca on a €5 million deal, though Barcelona are expected to retain certain clauses that will help the Catalans retain control of the player’s future.
A recent report from Mundo Deportivo has offered an update on Torre’s transfer saga, giving some valuable insights into the transfer dealings.
As per the report, the Torre operation has not been completed yet because the involved parties are still looking to determine the exact fees the player’s former club, Racing Santander, will receive as a training fee.
Apart from this slight documentation, everything else in the Torre deal has been signed and approved.

The coming days should go a long way in clearing the air about Torre’s move to Mallorca, but certain information regarding his transfer is already as good as confirmed.
As mentioned earlier, the Spaniard is set to join on a €5 million deal, with Barcelona retaining a future sell-on fee clause of 50%.
The Catalans also reportedly hold a buyback clause in Torre’s deal so that they can always have the first say should the young midfielder make a big breakthrough in La Liga in the years to come.
In short, Barcelona still have a lot of faith in Torre and his abilities to become one of the best midfielders in La Liga.
And as the youngster moves closer to Mallorca, it will be interesting to see whether or not he can make a big breakthrough next season.
