According to a recent report from Fichajes, Real Madrid have put an end to the speculation surrounding Rodrygo’s future, as the Brazilian forward will remain at the club for the upcoming season.

After weeks of uncertainty and mounting rumours about a possible departure, sources close to the club now confirm that Rodrygo is no longer on the exit list.

The decision from the club’s sporting department is final that the winger will continue to wear the famous white shirt in 2025/26.

Tough time for Rodrygo

Rodrygo had a tough spell following the Club World Cup, where his role in the squad diminished. As a result, reports emerged linking him with a move away.

However, the 24-year-old has decided to stay and fight for his place under new head coach Xabi Alonso.

With strong competition in the attacking line from the likes of Brahim Diaz and rising Argentine star Franco Mastantuono, Rodrygo is determined to prove he still belongs at the elite level.

The report also reveals that Real Madrid’s transfer plans are essentially complete, and the club does not expect further signings or departures unless a late twist occurs.

The board is confident in the current squad and will leave it to Alonso to extract the most from the talent at his disposal.

Preparing for the new season

The team returned to training at Valdebebas on Monday to prepare for their La Liga opener against Osasuna on August 19 at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Over the next two weeks, Xabi Alonso will fine-tune his tactical setup, and players like Rodrygo, Dani Ceballos, David Alaba, and Ferland Mendy, all previously linked with exits, will be under close watch.

For now, Rodrygo has won the first battle, and he is staying. Now the challenge is clear that he must regain his importance in the team and prove to Alonso that he can be a key figure in Madrid’s title push.

The club has shown faith in him. The rest is up to Rodrygo.
