Milan have decided to give up on Strasbourg’s Guela Doué and are ready to go all in with €15m on Marc Pubill, facing competition from Barcelona and Wolves.
The Rossoneri are still in search of a right-back and saw several of their primary targets either get snatched by other clubs, or with price tags that were unreachable.
The most recent proposal for Strasbourg talent Doué was believed to be worth €18m and yet still a long way off the asking price.
With that in mind, Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca DI Marzio claims that Milan have decided to abandon that path and instead focus on Pubill instead.
The Spaniard just turned 22 last month and it is believed UD Almeria could let him leave for just €15m.
It is far from a done deal, because once again the Rossoneri are a bit late on the scene, having Barcelona and above all Wolverhampton Wanderers already in talks over the last few days.
He made 40 competitive appearances for Almeria last season, contributing a goal and five assists, while he is also a Spain Under-21 international regular.
Pubill had been on the verge of joining Atalanta last season, but failed a medical test.
