For months, it seems as though Paris Saint-Germain has been linked to Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar. The soap opera continues to have twists and turns, but with the summer transfer window closing in a couple of weeks, the ending to this saga is nearing.

On Monday, Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Inter Milan president Steven Zhang could accept an offer that allows them to secure a significant fee as PSG prepares a new bid. The need to sell motivates the openness to part ways with the 27-year-old.

The Italian publication also adds that manager Simone Inzaghi is particularly worried about a potential sale of Skriniar. The 46-year-old considers the Slovakia international untouchable and does not want to part with him.

In the last hours, momentum over a potential transfer is garnering steam, and Inter Milan could be on the verge of losing their leader to the backline. Nonetheless, the two clubs have yet to reach an agreement.

However, the report does add the Serie A side is already starting to work on a replacement. It will be interesting to see if PSG sporting advisor Luis Campos finally secures the player he’s long had his eyes on this summer.
