Everton eyeing triple raid on Tottenham for Dele Alli, Paulo Gazzaniga and Harry Winks

According to a report from Football Insider, as relayed by Football.london, Everton are lining up a triple swoop on Tottenham Hotspur, for the signings of Dele Alli, Harry Winks and Paulo Gazzaniga.

Gazzaniga had been linked with a move to Everton late in the summer transfer window but the transfer did not materialise. However, the Argentine has been pretty much frozen out of the first-team picture at the club with Hugo Lloris and Joe Hart being Jose Mourinho’s preferred options in goal.

As for Alli, the Englishman has also endured a similar fate to Gazzaniga. The 24-year-old has started just three games all season and was taken off at half-time in two of those. He, too, came close to leaving in the summer, albeit on loan, but after having stayed put, his fortunes haven’t improved a great deal.

And, finally, Winks has received relatively more game time than his compatriot Alli, but isn’t a regular in the side. Indeed, he finds himself behind the likes of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Moussa Sissoko, Tanguy Ndombele in the pecking order in the midfield department.

Winks himself admitted that something needed to change if he is to nail down a spot in the England squad for the Euros next summer, dropping a hint about a possible January exit.

And Everton could be ready to provide the trio with an escape route as manager Carlo Ancelotti looks to bolster his squad. (h/t Football.london)

However, the report does add that any move could have to wait till the summer as it is very unlikely that Tottenham will sanction sales that will strengthen a direct rival midway through the campaign.
