Report: Paredes Dealing With a Right Thigh Injury

Article image:Report: Paredes Dealing With a Right Thigh Injury

Paris Saint-Germain came into its away league fixture against Nimes Olympique without 10 players due to either injuries, suspensions or coronavirus-related issues. Manager Thomas Tuchel and his side were dealt with yet another injury during the fixture when midfielder Leandro Paredes left the game early in the first half. And as L’Equipe now reports, Paredes suffered a right thigh injury during the fixture and is currently out of action.

The report mentions that Paredes is set to miss PSG’s upcoming UEFA Champions League group stage fixture against Premier League side Manchester United. The fixture is set for this Tuesday, so the club must deem that Paredes may not be fully fit in time for the contest. It is unclear whether Paredes may be ready to go for the club’s Ligue 1 fixture against Dijon next week.

PSG must be careful with Paredes’ injury. It would not be ideal if the club rushes his recovery process only for him to reaggravate the injury during a game. For now, Tuchel has the midfield depth to deal with the multitude of injuries out at the position.
