Emil Roback looks to have impressed senior figures at Milan after arriving at the club last summer, as a Swedish report claims that the 18-year-old has been offered a new deal by the Rossoneri.

Last summer, Milan signed Roback from Hammarby IF in Sweden, in a deal which according to many news outlets the Rossoneri paid about €1.5million for the Swedish winger.

It didn’t take long until the young Swede had debuted for the senior team in the last pre-season games of the summer, as well as impressing many in his brief appearances.

Nevertheless, Roback has spent the season in the Primavera where he’s been a frequent presence in manager Federico Giunti’s starting XI’s. So much so that he was included in the senior team’s match squads against Sassuolo, Cagliari and Hellas Verona.

Evidently, he’s not only impressed both the Primavera and first-team staff –  but the management as well. Swedish news site FotbollDirekt are reporting on Wednesday that Milan have already offered the 18-year-old a new contract. Which, according to the site, is expected to be finalized at the end of the week.

Hammarby will not be compensated anymore than they already have been, but the news site does report that the new deal increases the chances of Roback activating some bonus-clauses which would earn the Swedish club some extra money from Milan. Those bonuses are allegedly around €500.000.

Roback has scored two goals in 16 appearances for the Primavera this season. His latest goal came against Torino Primavera in mid-April.
