Paris Saint-Germain will be without multiple regular first-team talents for the upcoming 2021 Trophee des Champions Final against Lille OSC. Multiple such players are still on vacation, including Euro 2020 winner Marco Verratti.

Still, PSG could see Kylian Mbappe play in this critical final.

Le Parisien notes that Mbappe has been featuring in PSG’s scheduled training sessions as of late. He is tabbed to take part in a pair of extensive training programs on Thursday.

PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino has not provided for a final declaration on whether Mbappe will suit up for this final fixture against the reigning Ligue 1 champions. Still, the forward could receive the green light to suit up for the team’s first final of the season.

Mbappe did not appear in any of the team’s five preseason fixtures. But as mentioned, he has been a regular in the team’s training sessions ever since returning from his mini-vacation.

Nonetheless, Pochettino could end up relying on the likes of Mauro Icardi and Julian Draxler to lead PSG’s attack should Mbappe be ruled out for this match.
