Report: Mauro Icardi Explained His Absence to His Teammate Before Training | OneFootball

Over the last week, Paris Saint-Germain forward Mauro Icardi has seen his marital problems pushed out into the public eye.

By now, everyone has seen the off and on again relationship between Icardi and his agent/wife, Wanda Nara. The issues in Icardi’s marriage resulted in the 28-year-old missing the capital club’s UEFA Champions League match against RB Leipzig.

However, now that it seems as though the two will be remaining together, Argentine celebrity journalist María Pía Shaw (via Culture PSG) revealed that the forward explained his situation to his teammates.

Shaw, who’s close to Icardi’s wife, detailed that the Argentine forward wanted to explain himself to his teammates before training. Icardi would therefore have had a few words in the locker room to explain a little what was going on in his private life and his recent absences.

It’s unlikely that Icardi sees the pitch in Le Classique at the Stade Vélodrome against Olympique de Marseille, so it will be interesting to see when he’s in the right mind to see the pitch for PSG.
