Tottenham Hotspur have been dealt a huge blow in their attempts to bring back current PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino.

According to Telegraph journalist Jason Burt, Pochettino has not told any PSG representatives, notably president Nasser Al-Khelaifi, that he is looking for a way out of Paris.

Furthermore, the report claims that a year-long contract extension has been triggered in an effort to play down any speculation that he could leave the Parisiens this summer.

This would mean that Pochettino would be tied down to the French giants until summer 2023.

Despite PSG not winning Ligue 1 for just the second time since 2012, Pochettino was still able to lift both the Trophée des Champions and Coupe de France trophies since arriving in January in relief of Thomas Tuchel, who guided Chelsea to Champions League glory.

In Pochettino’s first 34 games in charge of PSG, he has compiled a very respectable record of 24 wins, three draws, and seven defeats.
