Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly facing a significant challenge in their efforts to retain star forward Son Heung-min, whose future at the club has become increasingly uncertain.
The 32-year-old South Korean’s contract with Spurs is set to expire at the end of the current season, meaning he could potentially leave the club on a free transfer next summer unless a new deal is agreed upon.
Son has been a key figure for the club since joining in 2015, establishing himself as one of the Premier League’s top forwards.
His leadership on and off the pitch, combined with his consistent performances, has made him a fan favourite and an important player for the team.
One of Tottenham’s Premier League rivals are now plotting a move for their star attacker.
According to Fichajes, Man United are exploring a move for the Tottenham player with his long term future at the club still unresolved.
The report has mentioned that Son is keen on a new challenge and that should give the Red Devils confidence of signing the player who has scored four goals and provided four assists in 12 Premier League matches this season.

Spurs have the option to trigger a one-year deal which will make Son stay at the club. They are in a stronger position to keep the player and Ange Postecoglou would make sure that they keep Son at the club due to his leadership and goal scoring qualities.
The South Korean scored for Spurs against Chelsea in their 4-3 defeat on Sunday but they could have won the match if he had take some of the chances he got in the match.
The 32-year-old is past his peak but he is still one of the best and most experienced players in the Premier League and his addition could be vital for Ruben Amorim and his team.
Man United have signed experienced attackers in recent years like Cristiano Ronaldo, Wout Weghorst and Edinson Cavani and Son could be the latest one to be that player.
The Red Devils have been linked with a move for Sporting attacker Viktor Gyokeres and more than Son, he would suit the playing style of the Premier League giants.
